No More Excuses

As should be obvious from my previous post, at least a basic set of chisels is a must have in any newbie’s workshop. A good set of the very best chisels will run you upwards of $200, so to at least fill the need I just bought a basic set of Stanley, straight-edged chisels at the department store for $10, then added a set of ten crafter’s carving knives for another $6. So I now have a 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch chisel and the knives will help with some of the tighter clean-up work smaller than 1/2 inch.

Watch out world, Pappy has no more excuse not to try more complex joints! Speaking of joints, I’m really hoping the dull throb in the knuckles of my left hand that has developed this week isn’t the first signs of arthritis. Time to visit the doctor, or can I procrastinate a little longer on that inevitability?
